Today, the XIV International Scientific Conference in the field of telecommunications, telemetry, information technology and broadcasting equipment "Turkmentel-2022" begins its work in Ashgabat. On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants with a welcoming address, which, in particular, reads:

“From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on the start of the XV International Exhibition and Scientific Conference of Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technology and Broadcasting Equipment “Turkmentel-2022”!

Today, relying on innovations and progressive experience in the field of technology, we are modernizing the national economy, achieving tremendous success in the social development of the country, and implementing fundamental scientific and technological reforms and major projects through systematic improvement of the structural, material, technical and legal base of the digital sphere.” .

The message of the head of state notes that Turkmenistan is successfully continuing the process of introducing the latest digital solutions and information and communication developments into the national telecommunications system that meet international standards. Consistent work is also being carried out to create and provide the population with a qualitatively updated and competitive communication service. Much attention is paid to the training of qualified specialists in this field. Significant funds are invested in the formation and improvement of the profile cluster.

“Full-scale digitalization of the national economy has become one of the priorities of state policy. This is fully confirmed by the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan in 2019-2025, the implementation of which will intensify economic growth and improve the standard of living of the population through the use of digital technologies,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

According to him, effective dynamics is inherent in practical measures aimed at the introduction of the digital economy and the full launch of the Electronic Government system. The improvement of the legal regulation of activities in the field of information and telecommunications services continues, program work is being carried out to implement major projects.

"The XV International Exhibition and Scientific Conference of Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technologies and Broadcasting Equipment "Türkmentel - 2022" plays an important role in the modernization of the telecommunications system, which acts as a driver of innovative development, and the implementation of national programs and globally significant projects," the President of Turkmenistan believes.

He notes that by laying the main lines of fiber-optic communication, Turkmenistan performs the function of a transport and communication center of the Great Silk Road. Projects in this area, which form a key route of transit systems not only in Central Asia, but also in the East-West and North-South directions, contribute to the development of the economies of neighboring states.

At the end of the message, the head of state expressed confidence that the current exhibition and conference would make it possible to work out a solution to the most important tasks that directly relate to the further development of traditionally good, friendly and mutually beneficial relations.

“I am convinced that the specialized Forum will become an effective platform for the exchange of experience between domestic specialists and foreign partners, establishing broad cooperation and discussing projects of mutual interest,” emphasized President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
